Gurupurab of Sikh Gurus
Shri Guru Granth Sahib resides in our Bhawan and our Guru’s Bani is preserved in the Shri Guru Granth Sahib. We believe in its teaching and observe the Gurpurab and birthdays of all the teachers whose bani is in the Shri Guru Granth Sahib. However, we celebrate the Gururpurab of Guru Nanak, Guru Gobinsingh and the first opening of the Shri Guru Granth Sahib.
Birthdays of Saints
Shri Guru Ravidass Ji referred to five Sants (Saints) in his Bani. We believe in their teachings and observe their birthdays. – They are our saints they fought against the cast system.
Birthdays of Bhagwan Valmiki
Shri Guru Ravidass Ji referred to Bhagwan Valmiki in his Bani as an example of someone who fundamentally altered his life. We admire what he achieved and observe his birthdays.
